I recommend the following tests:

For men:  Y-DNA12 or Y-DNA25 to test your father's origins, and the mtDNA test to test your mother's origins.   (If you want to order both the Y-DNA and mtDNA tests, you can order the test called "Y-DNA12+mtDNA".

For women:  mtDNA test to test your mother's origins.  (If you want to test your father's origins, please find a male--such as a father, brother, uncle, or cousin---who has your maiden surname to do the test).
